Educational Philosophy
The Mighty Acorns® Partnership is supported through grants, donations, fundraisers, and partner organizations.
Individual program costs, including staff, teacher and volunteer training, and materials, are provided by partners.
All costs for the Mighty Acorns partnership including the Mighty Acorns Assistant, professional development, curriculum development, Seedling newsletter, website, summer camp, and quarterly partner meetings are funded through donations, fundraisers, and grants.
Summer camp in 2006 Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center provided two sessions of 4-night, 5 day sleepover camp to Mighty Acorns students at a minimal cost of $25 to the students. Camp typically costs $235 per student but the bulk is raised through grants and donations.
