What you need to know:

LOCATION

The Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore (Chesterton, IN)

WHEN

Camp begins Monday morning of the camp week and ends on Friday morning.

LODGING

Seven campers of the same sex and one adult chaperone share a cabin. Cabins are equipped with bunk beds, air conditioning, and private baths.

FOOD

All meals are prepared on-site by Learning Center staff and served “family-style” in the lodge. Meals are nutritious and accommodations can be made for special dietary requests.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation DURING the camp is provided. Transportation to and from camp from the greater Chicago area will be available. Every attempt will be made to coordinate pick-up and drop-off locations with public transportation locations.

INSTRUCTORS

Mighty Acorns and Learning Center staff are trained in first aid and CPR. They lead the programming and also serve as chaperones.

Registration begins in late winter and final selection of campers is made by lottery if the number of registrants exceeds available spaces at camp. Students are able to register with friends for the same camp session.
